Qura Bar — New gallery of taste unveiled

Qura Bar at Regent Hong Kong raises the bar higher this season with a new concept, Salon de Qura. Inspired by the city’s rich culture and art, the bar has created eight original cocktails, each reimagined as a work of art. Don’t miss the Beth-Luis-Nion, a savoury Islay whisky highball with sundried tomato for a touch of umaminess; the Bushido, a tequila highball with Japanese melon and sakura vermouth; the theatrical Paparazzi milk punch with its chocolate “kiss”; or Hermione, a silky cream cheese gin punch crowned with cheese foam. To accompany the collection, Qura Bar has also unveiled a series of refined bar dishes. Art has never tasted so good!

For those craving a bit of the fantastical, WOOBAR is turning cocktails into storytelling with its brand-new “Enchanted Forest” menu. With botanical flavours and unexpected pairings, its concept leans into nature with wildflowers, herbs, forest fruits and more, while balancing sweet, sour, bitter, salty, umami, and even spicy notes, so nothing feels one-note.

ARTIFACT — A moodier chapter opens with Volume 7

At ARTIFACT, ‘Volume 7’ arrives as a moodier, more introspective chapter, diving into the connection between land, sea and craft, with support from Valdespino and The Macallan. The menu unfolds in four chapters, but its standout is a sherry-led collection that puts Andalusia front and centre. Highlights include Noon on the Macharnudo, a crisp fino highball with guava and lemongrass; Vestido Rojo, a savoury, tequila-laced take on a Bloody Mary; and Guernica, which blends Pedro Ximénez with mezcal and rum in a bold, Old Fashioned-style serve inspired by Pablo Picasso’s Guernica.

For those imbibing in alcohol, you can expect it mixed with Don Julio Blanco tequila, layered with pineapple, coconut and a splash of lime. The perfect pairing to a juicy burger!

The Savory Project —  Asia’s 50 Best Bar teams up with Venchi for Cremino cocktail pop-up

Venchi launches ‘The Cremino Trio’ project this April, including Hong Kong’s first pop-up Cremino Bar in collaboration with The Savory Project, the Central cocktail bar ranked among Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025. Together, they’ve crafted five exclusive Creminotail cocktails ($140 each), paired with one of Venchi’s three-layered Cremino chocolates. Editor Anna’s favourites include the Pistachio Fizz with wasabi and barley shochu paired with Pistachio Dark and the Banana Sour, with whisky and olive oil alongside Pistachio Cremino. If you’re looking for something a little sweeter, try the Cremino Martini, made with cold brew coffee, Chinese almonds and cachaça.

Bourke’s, the one of our favourite neighbourhood bars on Peel Street, is leaning into its roots with a menu that marks the biggest change since 2024. Bar manager Aled Burt introduces a lineup of ‘Native Cocktails’ (all $120) celebrating ingredients sourced exclusively in Australia, such as the Macadamia — a whisky sour twist with Johnnie Walker Black infused with tangerine and house-made macadamia orgeat — alongside the Wattleseed, a coffee-vanilla old-fashioned with Torres 10 Brandy and wattleseed bitters. The ‘Nostalgia Cocktails’ section adds grown-up spins on Aussie childhood favourites like Sassy Social Media Manager Grace’s personal fave, Adult’s Cream Soda: a milk-punched highball with Martell VSOP and vanilla-coffee foam.

Beverage director François Cavelier is back with ‘Terroir No. 2: Oaxaca,’ the next instalment of Peridot’s quarterly cocktail series. Launching 6 April, the 10-drink menu (all $168) takes inspiration from Mexico’s mezcal heartland — expect everything from smokey, mineral-forward pours to bright, tropical flavours. Standouts include Más Fotos, a bold blend of mezcal, overproof rum and kumquat liqueur; Ice and Fire Sgroppino, a playful mashup of corn liqueur, mezcal and sparkling sake; and Answering Spicy Questions, which pairs tequila with a conversation-starting card game.

Head mixologist Manuel Saavedra leads the seasonal menu, which includes highlights like Incense & Tide — a smokey Negroni-style creation served with burning Japanese incense as a nod to Tin Hau Temple — alongside clarified milk punch The Lanson Thaw and the refreshing Harmony Bloom. Guests can enjoy the cocktails on their own or opt for the curated pairing menu ($350) with six rotating canapés.
