What’s The Difference Between Waxing, IPL And AFT Laser Hair Removal?

• Waxing is a non-permanent but safe way of removing hair, which pulls out the hair from the root; as opposed to shaving, which trims the hair at the skin’s surface (and often sees hair grow back within a few days). With waxing, you can go two to three weeks without worrying about your hair!
• IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light, a type of laser treatment that’s used to treat everything from fine lines to spider veins and age spots. Laser hair removal can be used anywhere on the body, but it requires multiple treatments over the course of several months. In IPL, gentle pulses of light are applied to the hair root, which makes it go into a “resting” phase where your hair falls out and, in time, grows less in that area. And it leaves you totally smooth.
• AFT is a special subtype of IPL laser hair removal treatment: Advanced Fluorescence Technology. This is a next-generation semi-permanent hair reduction method that uses, again, beams of specially filtered light to weaken the hair follicles, which helps to delay and even stop hair regrowth entirely.
