Tai Kwun Art Week 2026 Presents Late-Night Programmes
Tai Kwun Art Week 2026 brings the Central Police Station to the forefront of the city’s Art March! This year’s curation focuses on digital evolution, featuring site-specific commissions and the return of the district’s signature late-night art celebration.
Here are the expected programmes and scheduled highlights for Tai Kwun Art Week:
Monday, 23 March, 2026: Tai Kwun Art Week officially kicks off with the launch of extended gallery hours across the compound and the opening of special site-wide art installations.
Friday, 27 March, 2026: Artists’ Night 2026, the flagship event of Art Week hosted in partnership with Art Basel Hong Kong, takes over the Prison Yard and F Hall from 7pm to 11pm with live performances, experimental sound installations and cross-disciplinary art.
Saturday, 28 March, 2026: Art After Hours: Beings in Motion, a curated evening of performance art and movement-based works that explore the relationship between the human body and the heritage architecture of Tai Kwun.
Until Sunday, 29 March 2026: Zhang Peili: A Day, a major digital commission at F Hall Studio, features an eight-channel video installation exploring the intersections of surveillance, illness and time.
Until Sunday, 29 March 2026: Searchlight 2026, a mentorship showcase projected onto the Prison Wall and F Hall façade, featuring new digital works by alumni artists including Chloe Wong, Pallas Lo and Leslie Tsui.
