Art Central 2026 Features Expanded Programming
Now in its second decade, Art Central 2026 returns to the Central Harbourfront from Wednesday, 25 March to Sunday, 29 March, 2026. The 11th edition features over 100 galleries and 500 artists, with a continued emphasis on the Asia-Pacific region. Under the direction of curators Enoch Cheng and Zoie Yung, the fair debuts Central Stage, a new curated sector highlighting artists such as Tokyo-based collective SIDE CORE, whose work has recently garnered significant institutional attention. Fair highlights this year include:
Night Central: Wednesday evening offers a more social atmosphere, combining art with live DJ sets and harbourfront views.
Yi Tai Sculpture & Installation: This year’s large-scale sector presents five site-specific works, including three by Hong Kong-based artists. Notable installations include OrangeTerry’s Found Faith, a sculptural piece incorporating repurposed church pews, and Silvester Mok’s The Digital Fossiliser.
Neo Sector: Dedicated to emerging galleries, this section welcomes ten participants, among them local gallery The Gallery by SOIL, featuring cross-disciplinary artists new to the fair circuit.
Diverse Programming: In addition to gallery presentations, the 2026 edition offers a five-day roster of performances, video art screenings and the return of the Conversations series.
