Art Basel Hong Kong 2026 Returns This March
Art Basel Hong Kong returns this March with its most geographically diverse edition to date! From 27 to 29 March, the fair will welcome 240 exhibitors from 41 countries and territories, offering a broad survey of modern and contemporary art. Now in her fourth year as Director, Angelle Siyang-Le continues to steer the fair’s growth, this year introducing a refreshed curatorial team and the launch of a new sector, Zero 10, focused on art of the digital era. Here’s a breakdown of the dates:
Private View (Invitation only): Wednesday, 25 March to Thursday, 26 March, 2026
Vernissage (Private Viewing): Thursday, 26 March, 2026 from 4pm to 8pm
Public Days: Friday, 27 March to Sunday, 29 March, 2026
Want to know the programme highlights? A range of public programming will be available free of charge throughout the fair period:
Encounters: Curated by a collective led by Mami Kataoka, this year’s large-scale installations sector features 11 works across the fairgrounds. An offsite, site-specific installation by Christine Sun Kim will be on view at Pacific Place.
M+ Facade: Continuing the co-commission with M+, Pakistani-American artist Shahzia Sikander presents 3 to 12 Nautical Miles, an animated work screening on the museum’s exterior facade nightly from 23 March.
Film & Conversations: For the first time, the Film programme is curated by an artist — Hong Kong–based practitioner Ellen Pau. The Conversations series returns with a day of talks guest-curated by Venus Lau.
Tickets for Art Basel 2026 are now available. Advance pricing is in effect until Monday, 9 March, 2026, with single-day tickets ranging from $410 to $740. Early purchase is recommended, as timed sessions tend to sell out in advance!
